Small Business of the Month: Le Sel Bridal!

Introducing:

Jordan McKenzie & Alicia Nicholson,

Founders of Le Sel Bridal!

Tell us about yourself!

So here’s the short version. Ready? We’re two bad ass business partners who came together in one crazy year by way of our backyards and (a lot) of wine...to create Le Sel Bridal. We are stirring things up (and not just cocktails) by creating the new and best way to shop for your wedding gown...IN. YOUR. HOME. So come on, invite us over. We’ve got dresses, mirrors, oh and you can have all your closest friends join too.

Xo, Jordan & Alicia

What business did you start?

We’re changing the game... just a little bit.

Le Sel Bridal offers a first of it's kind, concierge boutique experience for the bride-to-be at the bride’s preferred location (her home, bestie’s house, wherever she feels her best). We bring it all: the samples, the mirrors, the riser, and of course the bubbles & snacks- for up to 8 friends!

Currently we travel to Westchester & Putnam Counties NY as well as Danbury and Fairfield county CT. (exceptions made with additional fees).

AND...we are now popping up all summer long in Cortlandt Manor at Royal Status Boutique, 2229 Crompond rd. Stay tuned for upcoming events and private appointment availability.

What inspired you to start this business?

We flipped a coin and it landed on bridal! LOL...jk... Faced with job insecurity because of the pandemic and while trying to navigate motherhood in such a crazy time, Alicia and I became fast friends. We talked at length about how we both wanted something more fulfilling and something we can be proud of and enjoy. We knew during the pandemic that everyone was getting hit hard financially, emotionally, but so many people were being robbed of experiences. We developed Le Sel and the concierge concept of it in order to give brides the same (or better) experience that they would have had pre-pandemic.

If you could give advice to a woman who is thinking of starting a business, what would it be?

Do it. Stop over thinking. Just start. Pick one task on the long, overwhelming to-do list and do it. And then do the next and the next and the next and don't look back.

What makes you feel most fabulous with being an entrepreneur?

Knowing everything (big or small) achieved was because we have immersed ourselves in this business and DAMN that's FABULOUS!

Thank you, Jordan & Alicia, for creating a business that is based around bringing more joy, fun, and excitement in making other women feel special. We love your enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication to customizing each bride's experience. We know nothing but FABULOUS things are to come, and we can’t wait to see all the future holds for you!
