Tell us about yourself!
Hi! My name is Erin Ferry. I am 25 year old New York based Graphic Designer with a B.A. in Computer Art from SUNY Oneonta. After a few different designer positions after college, I decided to leave my full-time job over a year and a half ago to start my own stationery company. The wedding and stationery industry has so much to offer making no single day the same while allowing me to work remotely and travel more than I ever could before. Additionally, I work as a freelance designer, creating logos, social media design, and most recently, adding the position of Co-Founder and Designer for an App Start-Up to my portfolio.
What are your Aspirations?
I hope to work with more wedding clients in the upcoming year and take on the positivity of my current and past clients. COVID-19 took a real hit to the wedding industry, including my own business. I aspire to have the fortitude of some other creatives, putting themselves further out of their comfort zone than they already are. The creative field is not an easy one, but I am confident that with time, myself and others in the industry can get back up on our feet and create something wonderful to celebrate the love our clients.
Can you describe what makes you feel FABULOUS while working?
What makes me feel fabulous is seeing the final product of a piece had spent so much time on. I can work with a client for a couple of hours to a couple of months at a time. There’s nothing like the relief of a completed project in print or even digitally. You can finally sit back, have a glass (very large glass— I mean I have a wine glass that fits a whole bottle) of wine and know that all of that time was worth your efforts.
Thank you Erin, for staying true to yourself, following your dreams, and inspiring us to take risks in order to do what we love. With your go-getter attitude, your creativity, and your determination to create your own business, you have showed us that we as women are skilled, capable, and can accomplish anything we put our minds to. It is women like you who inspire others to take that leap of faith and trust in ourselves. We know the future will be nothing but bright and successful for you, and we look forward to following along!
